Finally retired. It was time to give up working 50-60 hours a week. First week of retirement (Xmas week) my water heater caused damaged inside my condo so I'm still dealing with all of that. I'm looking forward to getting more settled once all the repair work is completed, hopefully by end of April as the construction company has been very slow, then I can start to really enjoy retirement.
During our senior year, most of the folks involved in band and choir ended up with the German Measles.
On a side note, being on the Speech and Debate team was a highlight of my high school years. I had the opportunity to get to know students from other grades and developed wonderful friendships.
I had the opportunity to work at a local TV station and was the "Good Do-Bee" on Romper Room for a few years. I only got the job because I was short enough to fit into the costume.
I also had the opportunity to sing in the Phoenix City Children's Summer Opera several times. They stopped doing that many years ago. I discovered during those years studying voice that I was a coloratura that could hit an octave above high F normally sung in operas. You musicians out there will appreciate that one. I've unfortunately damaged my vocal chords and am unable to sing anymore.
After all is said and done, I ended as a corporate instructional designer and instructor.

Thanks everyone for the warm birthday wishes. Haven't been getting in here as often with starting a new job. Yes, at my age I started a new job. Nuts, right? LOL! I'm a glutton for punishment and don't know when to stop working.

My heart goes out to her family at this time of loss. May God's peace and comfort be with them and us who knew and loved her.
