Gwen was the Borough Administrator for the Borough of Allendale N.J. held two certificates in Hatha Yoga and Kundiline yoga. Master Degree in Education, and the nicest, kindest, most loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend in the world.
It was with such sadness that I read of Gwen's passing. Attending Encanto/Clarendon together during our elementary years, and then our four fabulous years at West. We also shared times together as members of the Cheer/Pom lines during our junior and senior years. Gwen broke the news to me that there was no Santa Claus when we were 7 years old. I remember being devastated at the time, but I got over it and found Gwen to be one of the nicest school friends I was privileged to have. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
OH SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS NEWS OF GWEN PASSING. YES. SHE WAS ONE OF THE SWEETEST PERSONS I EVER KNEW. I CAN'T IMAGINE SHE HAD 4 KIDS AND 4 GRANDS. OBVIOUSLY, SHE KNEW MORE ABOUT LIFE THAN JUST THE SANTA CLAUS NEWS. WITH THAT, I KNOW SHE IS SMILING AT ME. REST IN PEACE DEAR ONE. (I ONLY KNEW HER FROM 4 YEARS AT WEST HIGH. ) CAROL HAZELETT.
I can only remember good things about Gwen... kindness, friendly comments, just a good person. And she had a sparkle in her eyes, didn't she? Even in her senior picture you can see that. I'm certain she will be missed. A life well lived, Gwen. Rest in peace.
Always so sad to learn of another classmate's passing. Seeing a comment from Liz Hatounian prompted me to write: Liz, When I saw your name, memories came flooding back. Back in our days at West, I so wanted to ask you out to the Arizona State Fair, and sat one day out on my front porch trying to build up the courage to ask you to the fair. I never did.`Oh those were the days.

I was sorry to hear of Gwen's passing. I'll always remember that she smiled all the time and was sweet to everyone she met.
