Survived By: Sons Adam, Clifton and AJ Martin. Brother Mark Van Hoesen and Sister Carol Buelow. Brother Russell Van Hoesen predeceased Jannis by 5 months.
I first met Jannis our freshman year when we competed for an opportunity to play flute in the West High orchestra. She won, of course! She took advanced classes and worked during high school. She was always a dependable, caring friend to me and we stayed in touch through the years. She retired as a pharmacist after battling Grave's disease and cancer. I will miss her. OH JAN WAS SUCH A SWEET GIRL. SHE ALWAYS HAD A NICE SMILE AND KINDA TWINKLE IN HER EYES. I THINK I ONLY HAD ONE OR TWO CLASSES WITH HER BUT WOULD SEE HER IN THE HALLWAYS A LOT. WE WERE IN GIRLS LEAGUE AND THE FELLOWSHIP CLUB TOGETHER. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE NOW. CAROL HAZELETT.

I am so very sorry to hear about Jannis' passing. We had so much fun in high school. She kept me honest about playing the flute in the band and orchestra. I'm sorry I lost touch with her. She was always a blast. I hope her family can see our posts so they can know how much she was loved.Claudia
